My name is Meredith Brooks, I am a senior at Rutgers studying Human Resource Management, Labor Studies, and Psychology. I am also an active member of the Rutgers Hillel community as a Lead Engagement and Development Intern. In that capacity I get to engage with Jewish students at Rutgers while sipping on coffee at the Au Bon Pain in the heart of campus. I was an extremely active in USY and I currently work as an advisor for a local Kadima chapter, and as a staff member for Hagalil USY. My hobbies include anything involving Rutgers, hanging out with my friends, and Jewish geography (every Nice Jewish Girl’s favorite hobby). Rutgers is known for its diverse community, great food, and even better people! I personally look forward to greeting everyone to “The Banks On the Old Raritan” for a great weekend!
How’s it going? I’m Alex Hamilton, immediate past President of Rutgers Hillel. I was raised in Oklahoma City where I was very active in USY, serving as the Religious/Educational/Cultural VP and Programming/Israel Affairs VP of SWUSY. After high school I participated in Nativ: the College Leadership Program in Israel, and have worked for the last four summers at Ramah in the Rockies. Here at Rutgers I majored in Jewish Studies with a minor in Political Science; I am especially interested in Bible, modern American politics, and food history. After attending the first two MoC Shabbatonim I am looking forward to opening our Hillel community to everyone and showing off the incredible history of Rutgers University!
